I am an international environment and development consultant. When I’m not editing Adapted Planet, I do some consulting for the International Institute for Environment and Development, working on a program to understand the political economy of the Climate Investment Funds.
I am particularly interested in the links between adaptation and development policy, and understanding who the real winners are going to be from all the funding, programs and projects coming out of the international adaptation machine. I want to bring the debate about the future of adaptation in the mainstream, as like it or not, it’s going to affect us all.
I also administer a charity, Masambiro, which supports grassroots educational development projects in Northern Malawi. Between 2012 – 2013, I worked at the project in Malawi, developing an income generating agricultural project and researching the feasibility of a vocational training project.
